Red Coats (and a Green Flag) for Munchhausen's War

So it turns out that what looked like Hanoverians were actually Irish - or at least that's what their flag suggests.  Hard to pin down, perhaps, they are some the 18th Century's Wild Geese.  Men who have left the Emerald Isle for Continental soldiering.  As much Charge as Barry Lyndon.

Fresh off their painting sticks, I'm quite pleased with these ... they are from some of the messiest of the cheap multipack figures I acquired last year ... so crudely slopped with thick paint that I had to soak them clean with Dettol and start afresh.

Yes, some of these looked only fit for melting down, but an overnight soak in Dettol has completely taken them back to nicely engraved figures which can be given a reasonable paint job.

I thoroughly recommend it if you have figures beyond over painting.
