Seoul Food

Thanks for the lunch:)
Our feast of Bulgogi, Sundubu jjigae, Chichimi, etc

Ok, let me attempt to describe my love affair with all things Korean. I love the spiciness. I love all things stew-y and soupy. I love the variety of side dishes which never fail to make me drool. I love the aroma of sweet marinated barbecued beef ribs. I love and am intrigued by the use of hundreds of spices that give the cuisine such a complex and explosive winning combination of flavours. Hell, I even love the utensils! So clinical looking and clean!!!

Though the Korean food scene here (with my fave Jim Tak in Shin-Okubo being the only exception) can't quite measure up to Seoul's offerings, am still always game for a round of fiery Korean feast for reasons listed/not listed above. And when my Korean friend here suggested a catching-up over lunch, no prizes for guessing where I wanted to head to.

Ojori is a pretty new Korean restaurant tucked in the basement level in Roppongi Hills. I am not sure what is it with Asian restaurants but nine out of ten are always located in really obscure places. Strange right? Anyway, I did get my variety here but all I can say of Ojori's Korean offering is that it is more quantity rather than quality. And oh, the Korean wait staff is probably the most authentic thing about it too.
