Disney Removes Bill Cosby Statue From Hollywood Studios Theme Park

Bill Cosby
A bronze bust of Bill Cosby is being removed from Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, a spokeswoman for Walt Disney World said, per NBC News.
The statue was supposed to come down Tuesday evening after the park closed. The decision to remove the celebrity's statue came after 2005 court documents revealed that Cosby admitted to obtaining Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to women he wanted to have sex with. Cosby also testified that he had given the woman who alleged assault—a Temple University employee— three half-pills of Benadryl.
His bronze bust is part of Disney's Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza at the park. Other statues at the exhibit include Oprah Winfrey and Lucille Ball. An online petition was created about seven months ago to remove the statue.
Cosby has not commented on the documents and has continuously denied the allegations, which have been made by more than 20 women.

He also admitted in the deposition that he had set up a tuition fund through the Plaintiff's mother after he worried she would either "extort or embarrass" him at the time. According to the documents, Cosby had placed certain conditions on the money, saying, "she would have to prove to me that while she was at said university that she was maintaining a 3.0 [GPA]."
The case was settled in 2006 for an undisclosed amount.
This Cosby bombshell comes only a few weeks after a pre-taped Good Morning America interview showing the iconic TV star trying to dodge questions about the many allegations against him.
"I have been in this business 52 years and I've never seen anything like this. Reality is the situation and I can't speak. I really don't know about what I'm going to do tomorrow. I have a ton of ideas to put on television about people and their love for each other."
