This past week was “Spring Break” for my kids so my husband & I took some time off from work so we could try to make it special for them (even though we couldn’t go somewhere warm). We took a couple of day trips to re-visit some of our favorite state parks here in NY – unfortunately, we won’t have the chance to camp again before we move out of state, but getting the chance to hike around the lake(s) and reminisce about the fun family memories we’ve made helped ease our sadness a little.
It’s going to be strange to celebrate Easter without family & friends around our table, but we’re still planning on getting dressed up, live-streaming our local church service & having a nice dinner just the four of us. I even have a fun scavenger hunt in the works for my kids – they’re a little too old for a traditional egg hunt, so I decided to come up with something a little more challenging & age-appropriate for them.
